CAPFUG Presentation

Posted: November 28, 2007 in AIR, CAPFUG

Hello World,

*** NOTE: The Dec. 5th Flex user group meeting has been postponed due to inclement weather. ***

*** The meeting has been rescheduled to Dec. 12th … same time, same place ***

*** Some things are worth the wait ***

I will giving a presentation at the next Capital Area Flex User Group in Rockville, MD on December 12th. Whether you are just starting to use Flex on AIR or have already created one or more AIR applications, you really should stop by and give it a listen. I will be talking about Working with the SQLite Database in Flex on AIR. I’ll cover topics such as;

  • Creating a SQLite Database
  • Supported and Unsupported SQLite Syntax in AIR
  • Querying and Updating a SQLite Database
  • Working with the SQLSchema
  • Synchronous vs Asynchronous Operations
  • Using Transactions

I will also present framework I created that allows you to execute multiple dependent queries with conditional logic and looping (like a stored procedure). But if you don’t come for the presentation, come for the pizza, drinks, and camaraderie.

Also, take a minute to visit the NEW Capital Area Flex User Group web site. It has shed it’s old Flex interface and has adopted a slick new “non-Flex” interface.
